NY Real estate mogul Robert Durst was arrested in New Orleans on Saturday night, on a murder warrant issued by Los Angeles County, Reuters reported.
Durst was taken into custody by the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office, following an extradition warrant, his attorney, Chip Lewis, told the Washington Post. The arrest was carried out in the lobby of the J.W. Marriott Hotel in New Orleans, on Canal Street, across from the French Quarter.

He is being held without bond.
Durst, 71, was questioned in the past but not charged with the unsolved deaths of his first wife Kathleen Durst in 1982 and his friend Susan Berman in 2000.
Durst maintains his innocence in these deaths.
The Los Angeles DA recently reopened the investigation into Berman’s murder, the NY Times reported, and attempting to tie it to the disappearance of Kathleen Durst, who was pronounced legally dead.
A six-part HBO documentary series about Durst, “The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst, ” showed new evidence seen for the first time.
Attorney Lewis accused the LA DA and “Jinx” filmmaker Andrew Jarecki, of collaborating on the timing of the arrest, as a publicity stunt for the last episode of “The Jinx.”
“I know, Jarecki has made a deal with them that they were going to let him announce this either before or after the last episode tonight, ” Lewis told the Post.

Robert Durst was last in court in 2014, when he was charged with urinating on a drugstore candy rack in Houston. His next appearance could be more complicated.
