Despite losing a large amount of her wealth because of falling commodity prices, Gina Rinehart still tops Forbes list of Australia’s richest, with real estate developer Harry Triguboff trailing at number two by a large margin. Rinehart, a mining magnate, is worth $11.7 billion while Triguboff’s worth is $5.6 billion, as reported by womensagenda.com. Rinehart’s wealth has fallen $6 billion, but she still retains in the top spot.
Triguboff is known as “high rise Harry” and is the managing director of Meriton, which has built nearly 50, 000 residential dwellings. He was born in China and was the son of Russian Jews who fled there to escape Lenin. Triguboff’s Meriton constructed the World Tower, Sydney’s largest residential apartment building in 2004.
