Israel’s ironSource, which offers a wordlwide digital delivery platform, announced the launch of Mutation Mash, the latest game from the Upopa Studio and the first to be released since they were acquired by ironSource in September 2014. Mutation Mash will be available for free on iOS in the App Store, and on Android in the Google Play Store.
“We’re very excited to launch our first game out of ironSource. After months of hard work and constant refinement, Mutation Mash is the kind of game that delivers a great gaming experience based on the unusual stories and loveable characters people know to expect from Upopa, ” said Niv Touboul, CEO of Upopa. “The experience of developing a game within ironSource has allowed us to combine the best of the indie gamer spirit with the resources and perspective of a billion dollar company, and we’re looking forward to continuing to create more successful games this way.”

Mutation Mash is a puzzle-action game requiring fast reflexes and a sharp mind. Players inhabit a world blighted by a terrible accident in the famous Radioactive Animal Rehabilitation Factory, where mutated animals have taken over the enchanted forest. The players need to save the forest – and the world.
ironSource boasts that it has developed a comprehensive platform to help connect people and apps across every platform and device. ironSource says that it acquired Upopa to bring mobile game creation expertise to the company, as part of their effort to develop innovative B2C products within their larger B2B offering. This, the company says, allows it to preserve their knack for disruptive innovation even as the company continues to grow and expand.
“Growing and developing mobile games like Mutation Mash continues to help us stay intimately acquainted with the needs of our target audiences, ” said Tomer Bar Zeev, CEO and Co-Founder of ironSource. “We’re proud to have helped Upopa create such a great product, and we now have a deeper understanding of the needs of gaming app developers looking to scale their products into successful businesses.”
