Billionaire Mort Zuckerman slammed the Obama administration over its Middle East policy and economic plan during a TV appearance last week.
Appearing on Friday’s “McLaughlin Group”, Zuckerman argued that President Obama’s economic plan fails to deal with what is happening in the United States, Breitbart.com said.

While the State of the Union was “brilliant…as a speech, ” he said “the substance was a whole other matter.”
“The problem with what he was talking about is it doesn’t address what is happening in this country, which is the erosion of the quality of work. It’s not just the quantity of work, you have today, if you take in people who are involuntary, part-time workers and you count them as what they really are, they’re sort of half-employed, the real unemployment rate is about 11.2% according to the government.
“The economy is very weak, and he’s got to find some ways to improve the economy, he had a lot of good programs, in a situation in which you get past the issue of employment. But to my mind employment, and good employment is the key to everything”, Zuckerman said.
Zuckerman is chairman of U.S. News and World Report and editor-in-chief and publisher of the New York Daily News.
Also, after fellow panelist Tom Rogan argued that U.S. foreign policy had been largely unsuccessful in Yemen and Iran, calling Obama’s foreign policy “a joke”, the billionaire said America has almost completely lost its credibility in the Middle East, Breitbart.com said.
“We took our troops out too early in Iraq, we did not stand behind what we said we would do if Syria got engaged in the way it was, our credibility in that part of the world is virtually eliminated”, Zuckerman said.
Meanwhile, a report said Conservative Senator Ted Cruz is making efforts to win over Jewish pro-Israel democrats like Zuckerman.
Zuckerman, who usually backs moderate democrats, hosted a lunch for Cruz in November, Frontpage Mag said, quoting a report in the New York Observer.
