Kinky Friedman thinks that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones are gay. At least that was how he perceived the two men’s “manboy” behavior over the Cowboys playoff victory last weekend.
The Texan humorist, political commentator and former gubernatorial candidate is known for making abrasive comments. This time it came after the somewhat sad performance that Christie put on while a guest of Jones’ at the Cowboys defeat of the Lions.

Christie is under fire back home for what many people in his home state perceive as unethical behavior. This is because their governor accepted a free trip to Dallas and seats in the owner’s box for the game from Jones. The people of New Jersey are also annoyed at their governor for rooting for the hated Cowboys when the State is split between Eagles fans and Giants fans.
What stood out in most people’s minds was what some would call un-presidential behavior by a man who is dropping hints about being a candidate in 2016 as Christie celebrated the Cowboys win. He was also clearly rebuffed by Jones when attempting to offer the businessman a double high five.
So what did Friedman say?
While a guest on ESPN’s “Outside The Lines” hosted by Bob Ley he said, “Jerry Jones and Chris Christie are probably the most important, latent homosexual relationship since Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.”
A surprised host responded, “You don’t really mean that, obviously.” Friedman then said, “Well they both desperately want to be loved and I agree that being in the owners’ box is not the way.”
Friedman reportedly also called Christie, a self-proclaimed Cowboys fan, “anti-Texas, thin-sock wearing son of a bitch.”
Bob Ley was forced to apologize for Friedman’s remarks.
The Cowboys will be in Green bay today to play the Packers. No word yet on whether Governor Christie will be in Wisconsin for the game.
