Ellie Goulding Celebrates Birthday on the Fly

Ellie Goulding

A girl can’t get a break, especially if she is a hit singer, songwriter. Ellie Goulding, who turned 28 on December 30th, couldn’t mark the occasion on the actual day, because she had to fly to a show in New Orleans, but joined her boyfriend Dougie Poynter at Basement Nightclub in Miami a few days later, as reported by Inside Halton.

She made up for the delay by putting every moment on Instagram, with a snap of a huge cake that said “Happy Birthday Ellie, ” to a pic of her and Poynter at a bowling alley to the two busting some moves on the dance floor. Goulding admitted she was moved when friends gave her a surprise party a month later, knowing she would be on the road, or rather in the air, on her actual birthday.
