X-Factor judge Simon Cowell has flown to Barbados, the idyllic Caribbean island he visits year after year, along with girlfriend Lauren Silverman, their baby son Eric and their dogs to get some winter sun, The Daily Mail reported on December 17.
The TV boss, who has just finished the latest season of X Factor – ending on a high with his act Ben Haenow winning the show – looked more than ready to relax and let his metaphorical hair down on his winter break, the Mail said.

The 55-year-old music mogul cut a relaxed figure as he walked across the sand with Silverman stepping out alongside him on Tuesday, carrying their tot in her arms. Little Eric, who was born on Valentine’s Day this year, looked the spitting image of his famous dad, with his mass of dark hair combined with a white top and black bottoms, Cowell’s trademark style, the report said.
Cowell wore a pair of blue and white leaf printed shorts, rocking the topless look with ease, finishing his casual look with a pair of sunglasses and, of course, his beaming smile. Silverman, 37, looked chic with her famous fellow walking alongside her and with her little boy held tightly against her. The pretty brunette couldn’t have looked more ready for her getaway in a short skirt, plunging white vest top over a bikini, trilby and large sunglasses, the Mail reported.
It was certainly a fun trip for Simon as, like always, he hopped onto a jet-ski for a speedy trip across the waves, clearly loving the activity.
He’s had a busy year, returning to the UK version of The X Factor as a judge, along with his old pal and sparring partner Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. And it went remarkably well for him, with two of his acts – Ben Haenow and Fleur East – making the final, with the Croydon-based van driver finishing victorious, the report said.
Earlier this year, British tabloid The Mirror, quoting sources close to Cowell, said he plans to embrace Silverman’s Jewish faith and make a private trip to Israel so he can make a more informed decision on the subject of religion. The 54-year-old X Factor creator, judge and producer was raised as a Roman Catholic but his father Eric was Jewish.
