The Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) of the Republic of Korea has today announced its selection of Israel Aerospace Industries’ (IAI) Heron Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) for the corps-level UAV upgrade project.

DAPA’s official notification said: “We comprehensively evaluated price, capability, operational suitability, T&C and selected the equipment that has a higher score.”
IAI said: “We appreciate DAPA and the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) for selecting IAI, via a thorough evaluation process which set a high level of requirements, allowing the Heron to demonstrate its outstanding performance, innovative features, mission versatility and proven, advanced operational capabilities”.
