Idina Menzel Excited About Doing a Frozen Sequel

CMA 2014 Country Christmas

Broadway star Idina Menzel is excited about the prospect of making a sequel to Frozen. She played the voice of the main character Elsa in the 2013 Disney hit animated film.

A sequel for Frozen has been an on again – off again project for some time now. But in an interview with England’s The Telegraph Menzel said about a sequel and a Broadway musical based on the movie, “they’re all in the works!”

Menzel may be involved in the new movie but definitely not the stage version of the original film. She said about returning for a sequel, “Ah, yeah sure … Not the stage show, I don’t know what will happen with that, but the movie hopefully. We’ll see.”

The 43 year old also told Cosmopolitan back in April, “It was such a dream of mine to be in the Disney family and become an animated queen. I’m always afraid to hope for something because I don’t want to be disappointed. Instead of worrying, why not enjoy the idea of the positive outcome, and if it doesn’t happen, you get over it.”

On what people who want to become singers should do she told the Telegraph, “I can’t give any tips on how to sing Let It Go because I barely can sing it sometimes. It’s really hard. I can’t wake up in the morning and just sing it. I guess my advice is that everyone who likes to sing it should sing it loud and proud and karaoke it out, sing it in the shower, sing it in the car and don’t worry about hitting the high notes.”

Menzel will definitely be in a short film sequel due out next year called Frozen Fever.
