The fallout has already hit Sony Pictures after its systems were hacked by North Koreans who are angry about the studio’s new Seth Rogen film The Interview. Screeners, that are reserved for critics and members of awards boards like the Oscars, for at least five Sony pictures including Brad Pitt’s Fury have been available for download from the Internet for a week now.
What a nice Thanksgiving present from North Korea! Download your copy here–click on “Proceed to Video.” There may be a couple of popups.

Yes that’s right the North Koreans have actually made good on a threat and succeeded in hacking into a Western corporation’s computer systems.
According to reports, a pirated copy of Fury has already been downloaded 888, 000 different times since November 27th. If it is any consolation for Sony, Fury got bad reviews and bombed at the box office so it probably was not going to do such good business on DVD and pay streaming anyway.
For those people who do not know, pirated movies can be downloaded from a number of nefarious websites by utilizing special software that lets people share files anonymously. There are also plenty of sites that offer movies for viewing via live streaming as well.
Both are illegal so you should not do it and such websites are always getting shut down by different governments.
Some Sony movies that were leaked have not even been released yet like a remake of “Annie” and “Mr. Turner, ” “Still Alice” and “To Write Love on Her Arms.” Annie alone was downloaded 184, 000 times so far.
The hackers, who call themselves Guardians of Peace, stole 11, 000 gigabytes of files from Sony.
The Interview, which co-stars James Franco, offers a less than flattering portrayal of the North Korean dictator Kim Jung Il who is interviewed in it by the duo. As a result, North Korea has been making threats against Sony Pictures and the two actors for some time.
Seth Rogen might be worried for his own safety right now but the famed stoner is probably too high to care.
