Sarah Silverman is coming back to Israel for the first time since 2011 for the Jewish Film Festival in Jerusalem, according to Shalom Life. The occasion is the screening of her stand-up comedy film, Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles, which won an Emmy. After the screening, Silverman will be on hand for a Q&A, which is likely to be as feisty and irreverent as the comedienne.
Silverman’s sister is a reform rabbi who is an activist in women’s issues and was arrested for her activities with the controversial Women of the Wall group. Upon hearing about her sisters’ arrest, Silverman said, “SO proud of my amazing sister & niece for their ballsout civil disobedience. Ur the tits!”
