A father filed a lawsuit against a Connecticut elementary school for banning his daughter from school for 21 days after attending a wedding in Nigeria. Stephen Opayemi said his daughter was discriminated against because of unreasonable fears of Ebola. Opayemi said his daughter has experienced no symptoms associated with Ebola and the fears are unfounded. The girl’s mother said she is surprised at the action, since Nigeria is free from cases of Ebola. The girl returned to school on October 31, with no signs of Ebola.
