Jaffa, an ancient port city, is officially part of the city of Tel Aviv, which was established just after the turn of the 20th Century alongside Jaffa. It is an Arab enclave that has been undergoing a renaissance lately with new construction and the refurbishing of old buildings. But some see this as gentrification as more Israelis move into the traditionally Arab city.

The Market House is in an old renovated four floor stone building with palm trees in front of it. The ground floor has the original façade while the upper two floors are newly designed. Many of the rooms have private terraces.

Archaeological remains of an 8th century Byzantine Chapel create the base of the Jaffa Tel Aviv hotel and three floors were added to create the hotel building. The Market House Hotel lobby contains a clear glass floor to provide guests with an impressive view of the magnificent remains.

Guests enjoy free WI fi, free bike rentals and complementary happy hour refreshments.

The Jaffa flea market is a historical gem that has undergone many changes. Alongside antique shops and veteran merchants, designer boutique stores, bars and restaurants now thrive. The Market House Hotel declares that it celebrates this location by symbolizing a combination of the old and the new. Guests will enjoy the view of unique crafts, authentic rugs, and fresh food along the streets just outside the hotel.
