Maroon 5 released their 5th album, V, and will appear on SNL with band member Adam Levine as the guest and Sarah Silverman as the host. The two are expected to appear in a skit together, which should be a riot.
Maroon 5 got its start when band members Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick were in high school and called the band, “Kara’s Flowers.” The first attempt at 1994 was not a success, but its “Songs About Jane” in 2002 got major airplay and was number 6 on the Billboard 200 chart. Maroon 5 were awarded the Grammy for Best New Artist in 2005. The band’s single “Moves Like Jagger” reached number one in the Billboard hot 100 and is one of the best-selling songs in the last few years, selling 14.4 million.
