Forget everything you knew about Paul Reubens, the actor who gave us the master of goof, Pee Wee Herman. Because he is joining the cast of NBC’s The Blacklist as a very bad guy.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Reubens will be playing Mr. Vargas: “a dapper, finicky ‘muscle’ who handles delicate situations in the criminal underworld.”

Mr. Vargas will debut in the second episode this season.
“It’s going to be something totally different, and it’s going to be awesome, ” executive producer Jon Bokenkamp told Entertainment Weekly. “It can’t get strange enough for me. One of the most fun things is being able to write for actors who I’ve admired and think are interesting and try to play against expectations. I’d say he’s gonna shake things up a bit when he enters Red’s orbit.”
