Musician Robert Schwartzman, brother of actor Jason Schwartzman and formerly of the band Rooney is taking his show on the road but staying on the bus. His California Roll Tour will create an innovative up close and personal style of performing and enjoying a show. The tour begins this fall and will involve Schwartzman giving concerts limited to audiences of 30 inside a bus.
The events, which are part-performances with a small party feel, feature an hour of live music, a listening session from Schwartzman’s newest recording, Q&A and merchandise. Schwartzman asks that those who hold tickets issue requests, either Rooney songs or from his solo work. David Pack of Ambrosia plans to use the same model for his own tour.
