While Big Boi is busy reliving his Outkast days with former-partner Andre 3000 on a 40-date 20th anniversary reunion tour, the artist still manages to focus on his developing successful solo career. The rapper, best known as half of 6-times Grammy winner Hip Hop duo Outkast, has started work on his third solo album, and has just landed a new record deal with one of Sony Music’s main flagship labels, following a management deal with one of L.A’s hottest management agencies.

Big Boi’s follow-up to 2012’s “Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors” will be released on Epic Records, the rapper told The Huffington Post. The deal was signed the day after Outkast’s first Coachella date on April 12, he adds, while assuring that “two or three singles” from the album, slated for a late 2014 release, would surface “before the fall”.

This news follows his new deal with Jordan Feldstein’s Career Artist Management, announced in March.

“Jordan is a go-getter, mover and shaker, and my kind of guy, ” Big Boi said in a statement. “I love his energy. We have a lot of new material and content coming this year, and I can’t wait to get things started.”

Feldstein is the founder and CEO of Career Artist Management and has managed Maroon 5 since their formation, helping guide the band to three Grammy awards and sales of over 10 million albums worldwide.

“I’m proud to have a hip-hop icon like Big Boi join our management roster, ” said Feldstein after the announcement. “We are all ready and excited to get started and continue to expand Big Boi’s overall brand as an artist.”

 Jonah Hill

Jordan Feldstein is the older brother of film star Jonah Hill. He was a junior agent at ICM when he first heard newcomers Maroon 5 and decided to quit his job in order to manage the band full-time. Since then, he has founded a successful management agency, overseeing the careers of multiplatinum acts such as Alanis Morissette, Robin Thicke and Adam Levine.

Feldstein was married to Clint Eastwood’s daughter, Francesca, for a week, before their marriage was annulled.
