During his career spanning well over sixty years, the late Sid Caesar was a  nominee for no less than 11 Emmy Awards, winning two of them  Apart from being a gifted comedian, Sid was also a talented musician, an accomplished saxophonist and talented author, publishing several novels including two autobiographies.  .

Mel Brooks began his career first as a stand-up comedian, before joining the writing crew Your Show of Shows, later teaming up with Carl Reiner to form a comic duo, particularly well known for being the originators of the famous TV  sketch  “The 2000 Year Old Man, ” with Brooks playing the leading role.

When he was already in his mid-40s, Brooks began to enjoy remarkable success as a film director, peaking during the early 1970s,  with some remarkable comedy films, including films include The Producers,  Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Silent Movie, High Anxiety, History of the World, Part I, Spaceballs and Robin Hood: Men in Tights.
