Famous rapper Drake is black, Jewish, Canadian from Toronto and even dated Rihanna once. He also starred on the celebrated Canadian high school television show Degrassi High, The Next Generation, in the dim and distant past.
But for Saturday Night Live’s first show in 2014, Drake impersonated lots of other stars, from A-Rod to rap mentor Lil Wayne, baseball star Alex Rodriguezto and Katt Williams.
Finally in his opening monologue, he simply played himself and flashed back to his own barmitzvah, including these immortal lines…
“Chillin’ in Boca Raton with my mensch Lenny Kravitz / The only purple drink we sip is purple Manischewitz”
He also rhymed about celebrating Hanukkah and dating a “Rihannukuh” – a reference to his brief romance with Rihanna.
