Eva Green Due Back On The Big Screen In March As Artemisia

Eva Green, one of Hollywood’s most exotic actresses, has been cast in one of the leading roles in 300. Rise of an Empire. Ms. Green will play the part of Artemisia, who did not feature in the original movie.

According to Eva, playing Artemisia will be a challenge as she is the most ‘ruthless’ character that she has ever had to play.” In the movie Artemisia is the driving force behind the invasion of the friendly planet of Xerxes, displaying what a  character she is.

Ms. Green will be playing alongside a talented cast of  Callan Mulvey, David Wenham  Sullivan Stapleton and Lena Headey in the movie.

300 Rise of an Empire, is a sequel to the original period fantasy 300, which was released in 2007. 300, Rise of an Empire travels both backwards and  forwards around the events of 300.  Also going back in time will be writer and producer Zack Snyder, who also co-wrote as well as directed the original movie. This time around Noam Murro will be taking over the director’s chair from Snyder

300: Rise of an Empire, based on the graphic novel Xerxes written by Frank Miller,  is scheduled for release in early March  2014, and will be shown on both 3D and IMAX 3D.

In 2014, as well as 300: Rise of an Empire  Eva will be featured in another  follow up this time  in Frank Miller’s and Robert Rodriguez’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

Green in – 300: Rise of an Empire

Eva Green was born and  raised in France. After graduating from the American University of Paris, Ms. Green went on to study at the St. Paul Drama School in Paris, later at the  Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London completing her studies at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, before returning to Paris, where she began her professional career on the stage,   appearing in several theatrical productions

In 2003 Eva made her break into the film world, appearing  in Bernardo Bertolucci’s controversial film The Dreamers.

Green’s next screen role came in 2005,  in Ridley Scott’s epic Kindom of Heaven starring alongside Orlando Bloom, Jeremy Irons,  Brendan Gleeson,  Liam Neeson and  Edward Norton. In 2006 Eva starred alongside Daniel Craig as Bond girl Vesper Lynd in the James Bond film Casino Royal.  The same year Ms. 2006, Green was awarded the BAFTA Rising Star Award.

Since 2006, Green has starred in a number of  independently produced  films, including Cracks, Dark Shadows  and Perfect Sense. Eva also made her small screen acting debut, appearing in the well received  television series Camelot.

In addition to her acting career, Green is much in demand as a model, having strolled the walkway for  Breil, Emporio Armani and  Lancôme, as well as appearing in televised advertising campaigns for Heineken beer  and Christian Dior.
