Orly Adelson Leaving ITV Studios America

Israeli born entertainment executive Orly Adelson has resigned as President of ITV Studios America. The reason for her departure was not given.

The company released a statement saying, “ITV Studios America’s continued expansion in both scripted and unscripted coupled with Orly Adelson’s decision to step down as President, provides us with the opportunity to restructure the business to better reflect our growth and ambitions for the future. We would like to wish Orly the very best as she moves on with her plans in live, reality television and scripted production.”

At ITV, Orly Adelson oversaw all aspects of ITV Studios America, the US flagship of ITV. She led teams located on both the West and East coasts that produce an extensive slate of scripted and non-scripted series. She last held the position of President, dick clark productions (dcp), overseeing all of the company’s high-profile properties, including So You Think You Can Dance, the American Music Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, and the Academy of Country Music Awards.

As President, she played an important role in seeing dcp through its sale to Guggenheim Partners. Before joining dcp, she headed Orly Adelson Productions. Recognized as one of the most prominent producers in independent entertainment development, production, and financing, she created a dynamic and diverse slate of properties including scripted television series, movies and reality shows.

Her work has both received and been nominated for more than 60 awards, including Primetime Emmy Awards, SAG Awards, Independent Spirit Awards and the AFI Awards. Orly is also a fixture on prestigious industry lists such as the Hollywood Reporter’s “Women in Entertainment: Power 100, ” Variety’s “Women of Impact” and Billboard’s “Women in Music.
