Vox Media, led by journalist Ezra Klein, will now “monetize” its digital content platform, according to a report in Capital New York.
The website made its first presentation to potential advertisers Thursday at the Paley Center for Media. Its CEO Jim Bankoff revealed “Chorus for Advertisers.” Chorus is Vox Media’s content platform and analytics system.

Vox asserts that Chorus distinguishes the website from its digital media competitors. It allows Vox’s journalists to take care of everything in one place. Including edit, find errors, upload graphics, present on social media and more.
Bankoff told advertisers, “Voice is at the core of everything we do. We actually can deliver far more millennials in the passion categories they care about … in far greater numbers than our peers.”
Ezra Klein said that Chorus is what brought him to Vox in the first place.
The first ad agency to use the service will be DigitasLBi. The site added an entertainment section last month.
But Vox has not been without controversy. Fellow political wonk Nate Silver recently accused Klein and Vox of reusing his 538’s charts and graphs without permission or even attribution.
He took to Twitter to say, “Yo, @voxdotcom: Y’all should probably stop stealing people’s charts without proper attribution. You do this all the time, to 538 & others.” And “Only about 20% of the maps @VoxMaps tweets were actually made by Vox. Always a link to a Vox story, rarely to original source.”
