There is no word yet as to when the new show is expected to air or even when they plan to begin production of it.
When pictures recently surfaced of members of the old “Mr. Show” team hanging out together around what looked like a writers table, rumors abounded of a reunion for the show on which Odenkirk and Cross both stared. But instead of a reboot of the old, fans of the two will get an entirely new program.
While Cross, who was raised Jewish but now calls himself an atheist, is best known for his role on Arrested Development, he has not done much lately. The fourth season of that show also aired on Netflix years after it was cancelled by Fox.
Odenkirk, in contrast, is currently America’s new breakout star from his starring role on the new AMC hit show “Better Call Saul.” He has clearly been more successful at making the jump from comedic to dramatic acting.
David Cross can next be seen — well at least heard – in Kung Fu Panda 3 due out in 2016.
