Melissa Rivers has spoken out about the departure of Kelly Osbourne from the E! Networks show Fashion Police on which Rivers’ mother Joan was once the star.
It is still not clear if Osbourne quit, was fired, or if this was a mutual decision.

Commenting on Twitter, the Melissa Rivers, who is also one of the program’s producers, said, “Kelly Osbourne is a friend and has been a wonderful part of the Fashion Police family. I will miss her terribly and… http://www.whosay.com/l/whqadEw”
This is clearly just a generic comment of the type that is usually made by television and movie producers when a star departs a project. Obviously people are scared about being sued if they say the wrong thing and celebrities are trained to be very careful about whatever they say in public about their fellow celebrities.
The odd thing about all of this is that Melissa’s mother Joan certainly never held back when it came to criticizing her fellow celebs. Even if E! had tried to keep her quiet, Joan Rivers would certainly have had plenty to say since the entire Kelly Osbourne story began a week ao.
Osbourne, who is a friend of Zendaya’s, was angry over what she felt were racist comments made about the singer by her co-host Rancic who said that the singer smells like a hippie pot smoker.
Rivers had previously tweeted about Giuliana Rancic comments on the singer Zendaya, before Osbourne left the show, “#TBT We @e_FashionPolice have nothing but love for @Zendaya then and now. A repeat guest host. #MelRivers #JoanRivers http://www.whosay.com/l/JkRadbJ.”
Osbourne herself has yet to comment about her exit from the show. As of now her picture is still on the show’s website.
