Drew Barrymore stepped out in public to be photographed together with her two young children the other day. The former child star also opened up about motherhood and what it feels like to soon be turning forty in an interview with E.
The star of ET, Charlie’s Angels and 50 First Dates made headlines last year when she announced plans to convert to Judaism for the sake of her husband Will Kopelman. Barrymore even said that she was having her tattoos removed in accordance with Jewish law.

Barrymore brought her two daughters Olive, 2, and Frankie, 7 months, along for an appearance at an event in support of a charity dedicated to providing essentials for children in low-income families, Baby2Baby. The actress wore a red and black plaid flannel shirt with jeans and clearly went without makeup.
As she told E, “I’m very happy. Marriage is great and the kids are the best.
I know that everyone says you’re supposed to treat your spouse as equal as your kids, but I struggle every day of who I love the most. I love them all!”
The actress was only six years old when Steven Spielberg first cast her to play the younger sister in ET. She then famously grew up in front of the camera and tried very hard to shed her little girl image even once going so far as to “flash” David letterman on set.
Now 39. Barrymore told E that she is not scared or upset about turning 40. “I’m so excited, ” she said. “I finally feel the age that I am and I’ll tell you why—I always felt older than the number I was. I was always too mature and adult and raising myself or running a company or I’m only 19 and I’m a homeowner. Forty feels like where I’m at. It makes sense.”
