Topeka Crowdfunding Replaces ‘God Hates Fags’ with ‘God Loves Gays’ Road Sign

God Loves gays

You’ve all heard of Westboro Baptist Church protesters who wave their “God Hates Fags” signs to soldier funerals, concerts and schools. Well, now a new road sign reading “God loves gays, ” has been erected only 3 miles from the WBC Topeka, Kan., headquarters, Religion News Service reported.

The God Loves Gays Billboard Project was launched on Aug. 9 on the crowdfunding site Indiegogo, asking for $50, 000. Last Monday, the campaign reached $100, 000, enough for a second sign, this time in Salt Lake City, in the heart of the Mormon community.

The Topeka billboard, with a cartoon God looking at His gay children from behind white clouds, went up on Sept. 8, more than a month ahead of schedule.

The campaign’s owner is “God, ” also presenting Himself or Herself as “G.M. (Galactic Manager) of the Milky Way Galaxy, The LORD, The Alpha and the Omega, or The Creator.”
