New York Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire (Jewish on Mom’s side, which is the real thing) is bathing in wine, a lot. Last Wednesday, he posted a photo on his Instagram account (see here) where he was dipped up to his neck in red wine.
His message read: Recovery Day! Red Wine Bath !! #Kinging #Blessed #Hebrews Getting ready for the eighth day feast.

That would make it Shmini Atzeret, to those of you not well versed with the calendar of Hebrew feasts.
According to the NY Daily News, Stoudemire has been practicing vinotherapy, a process involving immersion in wine-grape branches, vines, leaves, and grape skin, on his days off, for the past eight months, give or take.
He takes 40-minute baths in a mixture of red wine and water, which “create more circulation in red blood cells.”
Wiki says Vinotherapy is a beauty therapy process where the residue of wine making are rubbed into the skin. The pulp is said to have excellent exfoliating qualities and helps reduce the problems associated with aging.
See the lady below? We got the image from Wikipedia as illustration for the article on Vinotherapy. When she started the treatment, she was only 4 feet tall and obese.
