Charles Dayan Gets $26 Million Funding after Pushing Out Original Developer

Developer Charles Dayan’s Bonjour Capital has secured a $26 million loan for a residential building in the Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn.

The 12 story 56 unit rental apartment building is located at 333 Greene Av.

The funding was provided by Mercantile Bank and the deal was brokered by Shaya Sonnenschein of Eastern Union Funding.

Dayan took control of the property last year when it was already 70% completed, pushing out its original developers.

“It shows how much prices have appreciated in areas like Bed-Stuy in a short time, ” Shaya Sonnenscheintold Crain’s. “Mr. Dayan was one of a pack of smart investors who bought at condensed prices and brought unfinished projects home. Now he’s reaping the rewards.”

333 Greene is located on a tree lined street, at the confluence of Bed-Stuy and Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. It offers a collection of unique 1, 2 & 3 bedroom layouts as well as duplex residences with striking interiors, incredible amenities and stunning views all within an emerging cultural scene.

Its apartments offer floor-to-ceiling windows with city and neighborhood views.
