According to the New York Daily News a large one bedroom is expected to be rented for as much as $5, 000 a month.

It will reach 43 stories and its northern face will feature a number of boxes slanted at a 45 degree angle from the façade of the building.

Residents will enjoy amenities such as a 25 yard indoor swimming pool overlooking the Hudson River, a basketball court, a golf simulator and a 25, 000-square-foot indoor park with rock outcroppings and winding paths, a screening room, a nautically themed residents’ lounge and a 300 car garage.

The building is described by its developers as a hybrid between the European perimeter block and a traditional Manhattan high-rise, is located between 11th and 12th Avenues, adjacent to The Helena. Scheduled to open in 2015, it has a unique design allowing the courtyard to have open views toward the Hudson River, bringing low western sun deep into the space.

The Durst Organization says that it is committed to green buildings and so the design, construction, and operation of this building and all of its components will reflect its pledge to improving the standard of sustainable development.

“My father doesn’t like people calling it a ‘pyramid. It’s a tetrahedron, ” Alexander Durst, son of 1 World Trade Center developer Douglas Durst told the New York Daily News.

Jordan Barowitz, a spokesman for the Durst family, told The Daily News, “We knew we had to build a special building in this location because we’re so visible both from the highway and from across the river. We also had to make it really compelling to convince people to live this far west.”
