Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said he will return to the company that bears his name. CEO Dan Doctoroff is leaving his position to make way for the former founder, but will occupy a position on the board of Bloomberg Philanthropies.
Doctoroff seems to have no hard feelings about having to vacate his seat for Bloomberg’s return, but implied credit to himself for the former Mayors decision to come back; “Simply put, Mike never expected to come back full time. After leaving City Hall and getting to know the company again, he realized what an exciting and incredible place this is.”

Doctoroff added, ” It is and always has been his company, and given his renewed interest, it is natural for him to reassume leadership of the company.”
