UPDATE: Joan Rivers on Life Support

UPDATE: Joan Rivers was placed on life-support Saturday, surrounded by her daughter, family and friends in a Manhattan hospital.

According to TMZ, , the family will have to decide in the next couple of days whether to keep the 81-year-old on life support. We’re told the family remains hopeful that if they do decide to turn off the machines, she will make a turn for the better and fight through it.

Comedian Joan Rivers’ condition was upgraded to stable from critical after she was rushed to Mt. Sinai when she stopped breathing following an operation on her vocal chords. She was accompanied to the hospital by her daughter Melissa, aged 46. Joan Rivers, 81, received an outpouring of prayers and good wishes as seen on her Twitter account.

Larry King wrote, “To my dear friend, Joan Rivers. I have known you forever. I wish you nothing but the best in this struggling time. Go get em girl.” Kelly Ripa wrote: “Praying for the great Joan Rivers. One of the true loves of my life.” Andy Cohen wrote, “All thoughts and prayer to Joan Rivers.”

Her show scheduled this weekend at the Count Basie Theater in New Jersey has been posponed.
