Arthur M. Blank Westside Prosperity Fund Featured on Atlanta Radio

Atlanta Falcons v Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Atlanta Radio Station WCLK featured a conversation with Frank Fernandez, Vice President for Community Development of the Arthur M. Blank Westside Prosperity Fund. The Fund allocated $15 million to the improvement of opportunities for those who live in the Vine City, English Avenue and Castleberry Hill communities in Atlanta, Georgia and empower the residents to  become “safer, healthier and more prosperous.” The Fund is supporting the building of a new Falcons stadium, in addition to other projects, which include: job training, initiatives to lower crime and improve the environment, expanding the availability of quality low-cost housing.

Arthur M. Blank is a co-founder of Home Depot and is owner of the football team, the Atlanta Falcons. Currently, he is President and CEO of the AMB group and is serves on the Board of Trustees of Emory University while also serving on the board of Staples and Cox Enterprises.

Blank was born to a Jewish family in Flushing, New York, attended Peter Stuyvesant High School and received a B.S. in Business Administration from Babson College. He also received an honorary degree from Furman University, where the Falcons held their training camp until 2005.
