Two months after welcoming their first child together, actor David Arquette and entertainment reporter Christina McLarty are now engaged, the actor’s rep confirms.
According to People Magazine, Arquette, 42, proposed to McLarty, 33, on Wednesday night during a family dinner at Mastro’s Ocean Club in Malibu. Arquette’s daughter Coco was reportedly present along with the couple’s two-month-old son Charlie West.
“He wanted his family to be with him when he did it, ” a source told the magazine, adding that “they are going to vacation in Aspen to celebrate.”
The news comes just a week after David’s ex-wife, Friends star Courteney Cox, announced her engagement to Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid. Arquette and Cox, who were married for 11 years, have remained close friends since their divorce in May 2013, and co-parent their 9-year-old daughter, Coco.
Arquette is known for films like “Wild Bill” and “Never Been Kissed”, and for his recurring role in the horror-comedy franchise “Scream”, where he played alongside Cox. McLarty appeared on “The Young and the Restless” and hosted the syndicated talent show “Gimme the Mike!”.
