The actress Kate Hudson, daughter of Oscar winner Goldie Hawn, is now pursuing a singing career and may make a change in her movie career as well, according to England’s The Mirror. Apparently, none other than Paul McCartney inspired Hudson to pursue music as a new career option.
Kate Hudson told the Mirror that she has been a singer since doing musical theater as a kid saying, “I was a musical theatre girl. I just wanted to dance and sing. I loved it.”
Then she saw Paul McCartney headline at Glastonbury over the summer and this gave her the idea to try and reinvent herself as a singer at the age of 43.

“I had this weird moment at Glastonbury last year, Kate Hudson told the Mirror, “I got so emotional after watching Paul McCartney. Maybe it’s because he’s the same age as my mom and it just defines this time, the sort of innocence of The Beatles and how iconic they were.”
“They just changed the face of rock’n’roll and they believed in something,” she added. “I started to get emotional about how different it is now. Like art, and what is art? What does it mean now? And it hit me that we just have to keep making art, good art.”
So, it took Kate Hudson more than 40 years to come to understand something that the entire world has known for 60 years already – the Beatles changed the world. And, of course, a B movie rom-com star could very well be the next greatest thing to come along in the world of pop music.
In other Kate Hudson news, the actress would like to try her hand at starring in a Marvel comic book superhero movie. She also told England’s The Mirror, “, “If it was right, I would love it. I think I’d have a lot of fun doing a Marvel… My brother Wyatt is Captain America and I remember him calling me, going, ‘You got to do a Marvel,’ and I think I’d be open to it for sure.”
Kate Hudson would certainly look great in one of those tight-fitting superhero costumes. Just see her in the Netflix thriller “Glass Onion.”
