Jared Kushner, the former first son-in-law of the United States, and his wife Ivanka Trump, the former first daughter, are apparently done with daddy Donald Trump – at least politically anyway. The two, who worked in senior positions at Trump’s White House, are not interested in having anything to do with the former President’s attempt to seek reelection.
The reason: the couple is not happy with daddy Donald after his November 22 dinner with affirmed anti-Semites Kanye West and Nick Fuentes.
Fuentes is somehow a white supremacist, in spite of being Latino. And Kanye West has since gone on to describe Adolph Hitler as having been a great man. Even the extremist radio personality Alex Jones had a problem with that when West made the comments on Jones’ show.

In an interview with MSN, their cousin and Donald Trump’s niece Mary Trump said they “finally realized that they gain more by staying away from Donald than they do by staying aligned with him.”
“Donald is definitely losing value in terms of the party,” she added, “and in terms of politics generally. And Ivanka and Jared are legitimately wealthy people apart from whatever Donald is doing, so they don’t need him to the same degree they might have.”
But that might not be all. Both Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner might simply be acknowledging that Donald Trump’s day is over as more and more Republican leaders shun the man. Trump is not even bothering to do any campaigning himself. It has been more than a month since Trump declared himself a candidate in 2024 and he has not even left his beloved Florida home the private club Mar-a-Lago.
He also made a tactical error in declaring his candidacy so early. There are many laws that limit how much money – and from whom – an active candidate can raise once he has declared. This is why most candidates wait as long as possible before making it official, while running what is called an “exploratory committee.” So maybe Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner just don’t want to be involved with Donald Trump since he is now a loser and behaving as one.
But there could be another reason for their absence from daddy’s campaign: Donald Trump is not someone who people want to be around when he loses, is mocked, or is spurned in any way and no longer relevant.
Being those who have been closest to Donald Trump personally – both during the good times as well as the bad – Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner know all too well that it is a good idea to stray away from him these days.
Mary Trump also said about the former president, “Donald becomes his most dangerous when he fears loss of relevance.” And so she mused that the Republican Party’s “strategy of just deciding to turn in a different direction won’t work” because her uncle won’t accept it and just get even more dangerous.
