Forescout Technologies, an Israeli firm operating in Active Defense for the Enterprise of Things, on Tuesday revealed its acquisition of CyberMDX, an Israeli startup in the field of healthcare cyber security. While the details of the acquisition were not disclosed, Calcalist has cited anonymous sources as saying that it could be for as much as $80 million.
Founded in 2000, Forescout Technologies, Inc. actively defends the Enterprise of Things by identifying, segmenting and enforcing compliance of every connected thing. So, in other words, it is a cybersecurity firm that promises to provide all manner of security against the threat of hackers.

The company also boasts that Fortune 1000 companies trust Forescout Technologies as it provides one of the “most widely deployed, enterprise-class platforms at scale across IT, IoT, OT and IoMT managed and unmanaged devices. Forescout arms customers with extensive device intelligence, data and policies to allow organizations across every industry to accurately classify risk, detect anomalies and quickly remediate cyber threats without disruption of critical business assets.”
Founded in 2017, CyberMDX is also an IOT security firm. With the acquisition, Forescout Technologies gets a company whose solutions that supports the advancement of The Internet of Medical Things.. The CyberMDX solution identifies endpoints and assesses vulnerabilities to detect, respond to, and prevent cyber incidents.
CyberMDX has raised $30 million in investments to date from firms such as Pitango and OurCrowd. Forescout Technologies, which employs about 200 employees in Israel and 1,100 workers overall worldwide, was acquired for $1.9 billion in February 2020 by private equity firm Advent International and Crosspoint Capital Partners.
