Matt Lauer has put his Hamptons estate back on the market for a measly $43.995 million. The disgraced former Today Show star first bought the home in 2016 from Richard Gere for $36.5 million.
The 62-year-old Lauer has been trying to sell the estate for more than a year now, since he finalized his divorce from second wife Annette Roque.
Owning a Hamptons estate is one of the ultimate status symbols for the rich and famous. Celebrities and the nouveau riche always seem to buy there. Even Howard Stern is now hold up in his Hamptons home waiting out the Corona Virus pandemic. He was criticized by fans for “selling out” and joining the establishment when he bought an estate there.
