Gary Barnett‘s real estate firm Extell Development announced the launch of sales for Central Park Tower, the tallest residential building in the world. The tower on famed Billionaire’s Row located on West 57th Street and Central Park directly to the north and the Columbus Circle to the west.
Starting on the 32nd floor, 179 condos two-to-eight-bedroom residences range in size from 1,435 square feet to over 17,500 square feet.
While Extell hasn’t officially released pricing the Real Deal reported that 20 of the units have a price tag of $60 million and higher, with a $95 million penthouse. If the tower achieves its projected $4 billion sellout, Central Park Tower would become the most expensive residential project in New York City. Twenty units will ask more than $60 million, and $95 million for the penthouse, according to the offering plan.
