Fake Facebook Page Pretending To Be Billionaire David Tepper try to scam women

Fake David Tepper Facebook Page

Page Six first reported on someone pretending to be the billionaire Appaloosa Management founder David Tepper. This guy opened a Facebook page using a profile picture of Tepper in a Pittsburgh Steelers hat, where he is a minority owner of the team and showing a short bio – supposedly one that fits Tepper real life: he is 58-years-old, divorced, male, he purportedly told one woman via a message, living in Florida.

“He offers to fly girls to DC to meet him. He says he’ll pay for their flight, food and hotel. He says to contact his ‘agent’ to set everything up, ” a source told Page Six.

The fake profile was then removed by Facebook, but Page Six say it was back up as of Wednesday, and now the creep is looking to cash in.

A woman told the reporter: “[The fake Tepper] was trying to meet me for a three-day business trip to Asia … I was to pay [one of his associates] … thousands of dollars for plane tickets, and then he was going to meet me there and pay me back … I have just recently got another fake e-mail from him. For an astrology reading.”

The fraudulent page has since been removed again; hopefully now for good.
