Pennsylvania police discovered twelve Amish girls living in a Feasterville house. Police arrested Amish parents after an allegation that they sold their daughter to 51-year-old Lee Kaplan, several years ago, reports Pennlive. The girls he hold ranged from 6 months to 18 years. Kaplan is facing sex assault charges.

NBC10 out of Philadelphia reports that according to the criminal complaint filed by police, Daniel and Savilla Stoltzfus gifted their daughter to Kaplan in appreciation for saving them from financial colaps. The couple said they knew that Kaplan was having sexual relationshipe with their daughter. The girl, now 18-years-old, conceived her first child when she was just 14-years-old. The girl has 2 children, a 3-year-old and a 6-month-old. No birth certificates for the children have been found.

WGAL reported Daniel Stolzfus told police that he thought giving his daughter to Kaplan was legal after conducting online research. Lee Kaplan said he considers the Amish girl to be his wife.

Lower Southampton Township police made a surprise visit to the house after receiving a complaint about the health and safety of the children. Some of the girls were hiding in closets when police arrived.
