BAFTA Los Angeles will honor award-winning actor Harrison Ford with the Albert R. Broccoli Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Entertainment.
Ford will receive the award at the ceremony to be held at the Beverly Hilton on Oct. 30, which is moving to cabler Pop this year after previously airing on BBC America.

Ford launched his film career in 1973 with his breakthrough role in “American Graffiti.” Four years later, he reunited with director and writer George Lucas to play the iconic role of Han Solo in the iconic Star Wars series. In 1981, Ford created another legendary screen character, Indiana Jones, in “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” Ford’s prolific career spans many genres, and his roles in films including “Apocalypse Now, ” “Blade Runner, ” “The Mosquito Coast, ” “Patriot Games, ” “Witness, ” “Working Girl” and “Air Force One” have ensured that Ford continues to be one of the world’s most versatile and beloved actors.

Among the honor recipients Orlando Bloom UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador will receive the Britannia Humanitarian Award presented by the Beazley Group, and Amy Schumer will receive the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy presented by Kodak.
Other Britannia honorees this year include Meryl Streep, who will receive the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film, Sam Mendes for Excellence in Directing, James Corden for British Artist of the Year.
