Billionaire Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg may have just purchased a townhouse in the West Village. According to The Observer, the three-story brick townhouse—located at 157 West 12th Street—was bought anonymously under an LLC, However, the name on the deed is one Tom van Loben Sels, a partner at the Palo Alto-based tax-consulting firm Apercen Partners LLC. Van Loben Sels has assisted Zuckerberg with his insane money in the past. But as The Observernotes, it’s possible that he assists other Silicon Valley guys with their insane money.
The townhouse (which wasn’t even on the market) previously sold in 2004 for$3.4 million, but as we all know, $3.4 million isn’t cool. You know what’s cool?$22.3 million (which is how much the buyer reportedly paid for the property).
