Hollywood star Ron Perlman has revealed that he is moving towards directing as his “legs don’t have it in them any more” for demanding action roles.
The 65-year-old, best known for playing Hellboy in two movie adaptations of the comic book character, said he could “never imagine” giving up acting but that he was beginning to feel his age.

He told the Standard: “I am looking forward to getting in the director’s chair and having a behind-the-scenes role.
“I’m 65 now, and I am segueing towards a desk job. I don’t want to give up acting, and there will always be roles I want to do, but my legs don’t have it in them any more.
“I don’t want a desk job but gravity is sure playing its part.”
