Torq, the leader in autonomous security operations, has announced the acquisition of Revrod, a stealth-mode Israeli AI startup known for its innovations in Agentic AI and LLM workflows. The acquisition enhances Torq HyperSOC-2o, the latest version of the company’s flagship platform, by integrating multi-agent Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) capabilities for cutting-edge AI-driven SOC automation. Terms of the deal were not disclosed but were estimated at $20 million.

Torq HyperSOC-2o, recently validated by IDC, delivers a next-generation Security Operations Center (SOC) experience, enabling Fortune 500 companies to automate, manage, and respond to security threats at machine speed. The platform’s integration of Revrod’s advanced AI tech positions it at the forefront of enterprise cybersecurity automation.

Torq is showcasing live demos of HyperSOC-2o at RSAC 2024, from April 28 to May 1, at Booth #1827 in the South Expo Hall of San Francisco’s Moscone Center.

Recognized by Business Insider as an “AI Startup to Watch,” Torq continues its growth trajectory with this acquisition. Revrod, previously backed by Notable Capital, Tonic Ventures, and Nylas, has now joined forces with Torq—bringing its full engineering and R&D team to accelerate AI innovation in cybersecurity.

Torq’s Agentic AI system, initially launched in Torq HyperSOC last December, is now significantly enhanced with the integration of new Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) capabilities. This evolution results in a comprehensive OmniAgent capable of sophisticated research, strategic planning, and autonomous execution. Torq HyperSOC-2o utilizes this OmniAgent to coordinate and collaborate with a network of AI Agents, enabling critical analysis and precise auto-remediation that approaches human-level proficiency.

The system autonomously evaluates the security environment and threat landscape, dynamically calibrating essential response mechanisms, such as runbooks and tools, to mitigate threats with superior speed and accuracy compared to legacy SOAR platforms and the basic AI models employed by many competitors.

Revrod was founded in 2023 by Eliya Elon and Noam Cohen. The company had 15 employees who will be joining Torq to further advance its AI roadmap. Before being acquired, Revrod had raised $6 million in early-stage funding from Hetz Ventures Management Ltd. and Notable Capital. Market estimates suggest the acquisition value was over $20 million.

“With this acquisition, and based on enterprise customer feedback, we’re confident Torq is 1.5 years ahead of our competition in delivering true autonomy for security operations,” said Ofer Smadari, CEO and co-founder, Torq. “Revrod’s technology fundamentally changes what’s possible in a SOC. By integrating it into Torq HyperSOC-2o, we’re giving our customers the tools to operate faster and smarter than ever before.”
