Daniel Birnbaum, the ex-CEO of SodaStream, released a video statement offering a $100,000 reward for the safe return of any living hostages held in Gaza by Hamas terrorists to Israel. The message was presented in English and accompanied by Arabic subtitles. Birnbaum made the move after new hopes for the hostages’ release were stirred after the leader of the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza Yahya Sinwar – who also masterminded the brutal October 7 terrorist massacre – was killed by Israeli forces there last Thursday.

However, it is not likely that such an offer will be accepted by Hamas terrorists. So why did Daniel Birnbaum make the offer?

“I’ve spent an entire year searching for a way to help the hostages’ families and the country,” Birnbaum told Israeli newspaper Israel Today. “It was a new approach, but he missed the third element – the reward,” Birnbaum noted. “Once you include the third element, the hope for a better life and not just survival, it becomes an offer that’s much harder to decline.”

“This was a terrible year. It’s time to wrap things up. It’s time to move on. A few days ago, Benjamin Netanyahu promised free passage and immunity to anyone who delivers an Israeli prisoner to Israel. I would like to add to that a financial reward.”

In his video, Birnbaum said, “Anyone who delivers from Gaza, a living Israeli prisoner will receive $100,000 that would be paid either by cash or by Bitcoin, as you prefer.”

“Don’t wait. It’s time for you to take control of your life, to build a better future for yourself, your family and for your community. Do it today,” added Daniel Birnbaum.

Birnbaum also told Israel’s Channel 12 news on Sunday, “For more than a year, I’ve been asking myself what I can do for these families, for the hostages, and now I see my chance, so I decided to seek out the hostage holders myself and make them an offer they cannot refuse.”

Meanwhile the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) has been dropping leaflets all over Gaza, telling the people there that the time has come to put an end to the war that Hamas wrought upon them.

“Yahya Sinwar has ruined your lives,” they say. “He hid in a dark tunnel and was eliminated when he attempted to flee in panic. Lay down your weapons, return the hostages, and live in peace.”
