Harbu Darbu: Israel’s Ness and Stilla Goes After Bella Hadid and Dua Lipa

Ness and Stilla

Ness and Stilla – Harbu Darbu video

Dua Lipa and Bella Hadid beware! The Israeli rappers Ness and Stilla have your number. The duo sang a somewhat nasty song about the celebrities who have made no secret of their hate for Israel. Ness and Stilla went after them in the wake of the barbaric October 7 massacre enacted by Hamas.

The music video for their hit song Harbu Darbu has received more than 18 million hits on YouTube.

Dua Lipa’s family is Albanan-Muslim and she has called for a ceasefire in Gaza. Bella Hadid is a model who claims to be Palestinian herself and who has been an Israel critic since even before October 7.

After October 7, Bella Hadid attacked Israel with comments like, “My heart is bleeding with pain from the trauma I am seeing unfold, as well as the generational trauma of my Palestinian blood. Seeing the aftermath of the airstrikes in Gaza, I mourn with all the mothers who have lost children and the children who cry alone, all the lost fathers, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunties, and friends who will never again walk this earth.”

Ness and Stilla, also known as Ness Ve Stilla, are an Israeli musical duo comprised of Nesia Levy (Ness), Rapper and vocalist and Dor Soroker (Stilla), Producer and musician. They gained significant attention in 2023, particularly with their single “Harbu Darbu” which became a number one hit in Israel.

Harbu Darbu reached first place on streaming platforms in Israel in November 2023. The title of the song refers to “raining hell on the opponent” and derives from an Arabic phrase that means “attack of war” or “chaos.”

The lyrics support the IDF soldiers and defend the perpetrators of the Hamas attack in Israel, and call for the death of the leaders of Hamas, as well as the Western celebrities Bella Hadid, Mia Khalifa and Dua Lipa, who previously declared an “anti-Israeli” position. The single was released on November 14, 2023, a little more than a month after the attacks, and was broadcast on the Galgalat radio station.

The lyrics include, “Acting like thugs you idiots [Bella Hadid and others] I swear there will be no forgiveness,” “We will rain a storm down on you, you f******” and “Every dog gets what he deserves in the end.”

Critics claimed the song incites genocide. Others claimed that it was a legitimate protest song expressing the anger and pain of Israelis following the attacks.
