Well, Donald Trump posted on his Truth social media platform (Trump is still banned from Twitter), “The real Howard Stern is a weak, pathetic, and disloyal guy, who lost his friends and MUCH of his audience.”
“I did his show many times in the good old days, and then he went woke, and nobody cares about him any longer,” added Trump. “Just a broken weirdo, unattractive both inside and out, trying like hell to be relevant!”
Donald Trump also said that Howard Stern’s “influence is gone, and without that, he’s got NOTHING.”
Trump is known for going after anyone who dares to criticize him. The slightest criticism, in Trump’s eyes, makes a person a “loser,” or “pathetic.” This is the man who said that he was only hiring the “best” people to serve in his administration and then called the people who left incompetent.
So, how did Howard Stern respond? Well, first of all Stern said that he was proud to be “woke” if opposing Donald Trump makes one woke.
Howard Stern has regularly dismissed people who call him liberal and so forth simply because he thinks that Donald Trump was an incompetent president.
In response to Trump’s latest remarks, Howard Stern said on his show Monday of his first reaction “My thought was — What?”
“Imagine you got to be the 45th president of the United States and you’re sitting and writing about Howard Stern,” said the radio star about how sad it is that Trump is so obsessed with him that the former president is lashing out while he is supposed to be running a campaign for President of the United States.
“You know, all of a sudden Trump saw me being discussed on all his conservative media things and he got charged up,” added Howard Stern.
The real issue, as Howard Stern sees it, is that Trump can’t stand it when anyone steals away the spotlight from himself. “I stole the excitement for a minute or two,” Stern said.
On the whole “woke” issue, Howard Stern added, “I am woke, motherf–ker, and I love it. By the way, I kind of take that as a compliment, that I’m woke.”
“If woke means I can’t get behind Trump, which is what I think it means, or that I support people who want to be transgender or I’m for the vaccine, dude, call me woke as you f–king want,” declared Howard Stern.
