Robert Kraft, the billionaire owner of the NFL’s New England Patriots, is reportedly feuding with his longtime Head Coach Bill Belichick over the team’s payroll. As usual, the coach thinks the team should spend more. But such disputes did not stop Kraft from throwing a big Fourth of July Party over the weekend which saw none other than Dave Matthews Perform.
According to a report in the New York Post, Robert Kraft and his wife Dr. Dana Blumberg held the party at their homes in the Hamptons on Long Island, the playground of the rich and famous. The couple got married last fall.
The Post quoted one guest as saying, “It was one of the most elegant, beautiful events I’ve seen out here in a long time. The décor, the flowers, the lighting… it was a beautiful Hamptons soiree. People thought that Dana had a big-time professional party planner, but she did it herself!”

“Robert said that there is a lot of stuff going on in the world that’s crazy, and we need to, ‘bring people together and have some fun.’ They’re trying every six months to do a party — it was really the first one since they’d gotten married. They’re trying to just bring people together,” another guest said of what Robert Kraft said when introducing Dave Mathews.
As for the New England Patriots, Bill Belichick is about to enter his 24th season as the team’s head coach. During that time the team won six Super Bowl championships, nine conference championships and 17 division titles, all a record for a head coach. But the team has not fared so well since its star quarterback Tom Brady left it a few years ago.
The team had a losing record last year and averaged only 27 – out of 32 teams – in payroll spending over the previous three seasons.
