Roseanne Barr please just go away already. Please just take a cue from General McArthur and just “fade away” already. Please just stop speaking – anywhere, ever. You are no longer a celebrity.
Remember why Roseanne Barr is no longer on television? Remember how she is the only woman in history to be fired from her own sitcom, a show that was named for her, and then had it renamed and continue on air for years without her? This was after her hit 90s sitcom “Roseanne” was resurrected after more than a decade off of the air in 2018 with the original cast all getting back together. Then, after one short season, she was fired and the show became “The Conners.” Roseanne’s long-time co-stars had no trouble continuing on without her and this probably annoys her more than getting fired.
So, what happened? Well, in 2018, Roseanne Barr tweeted out some not-so-nice and even racist comments about President Barack Obama’s former senior adviser Valerie Jarrett. And this was more than a year after Obama left office. No one understood what she could possibly have been thinking and Roseanne made no effort to apologize. Instead, she has since played the victim.

Now, five years later, in a terrible interview with fellow burn-out Megyn Kelly, Roseanne Barr continued to blame everybody else for her problems and her mistakes, while also lashing out at her former TV daughter Sarah Gilbert, making unforgivable comments.
So, what did she say?
On SiriusXM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Barr blamed her former co-star Sarah Gilbert for everything. Gilbert, 48, was just 12 years old when she first began working on the original “Roseanne” show with Barr, so Barr seems to think that Gilbert should not have criticized her as Gilbert did both on Twitter and on her daytime talk show “The Talk.”
On Twitter, Gilbert said at the time, “Roseanne’s recent comments about Valerie Jarrett, and so much more, are abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show. I am disappointed in her actions to say the least.”
“It wasn’t enough that she stabbed me in the back and did what she did to me there,” Rosanne Barr told Megyn Kelly. “But then she would go on her talk show every day and talk about how shocked she was at my racism on top of it.”
Barr also claimed that in response she called Sarah Gilbert and yelled at her former fake daughter telling her, “You better shut your blankin’ mouth about me. I’m telling you, you better shut your effing mouth.”
Roseanne Barr said that Gilbert stopped talking about her after the call.
On ABC’s decision to fire her Barr said they, “knew I had mental health issues. I thought they wanted me to kill myself and all my friends did too.”
Maybe it was fitting that Roseanne Barr chose to be interviewed by Megyn Kelly. After all, like Barr, Kelly also self-destructed and saw her career blow up because the woman kept on saying stupid things. Remember when Kelly got angry at the thought of anyone implying that Santa Claus could be black, as if it mattered?
It was just that kind of stupidity that got Roseanne Barr into so much trouble.
