Piggy, an Israeli startup co-founded by Shaul Olmert – son of former Prime Minister of Israel Ehud Olmert – that offers a platform that enables users to create documents, presentations, invitations, and more, directly from their mobile phones, raised $7.7 million in a Seed round of funding led by Insight Partners.
Have you ever wanted to be able to put together some kind of business presentation or personal group on Facebook, etc., but on your phone? It is so small and complicated to go back and forth between the different apps, so how would you do it? Well, this is where Piggy comes in to the picture.
Will you offer us a hand? Every gift, regardless of size, fuels our future.

Founded in 2020 by Shaul Olmert and Ilan Leibovitch, Piggy is a mobile app that claims to make authoring easy and fun and says that it helps users reach “stunning results.” Piggys are instantly published, can be shared with anyone, and stored in your personal cloud. Every piece of content created with Piggy gets a unique URL. Users can share the link with friends, family, colleagues, or customers – anyone can view their creations, anytime (no Piggy download or account required!).
Piggy’s founders were both already entrepreneurs in the past. They founded Playbuzz, which offers users a platform for online content engagement and social distribution, in 2012. Olmert left Playbuzz, now Ex.co, in 2019.
“With Piggy, you can create documents in the same way that you create social media posts. It’s mobile, interactive, supports all types of media, and makes it easy and fun to achieve stunning results,” said Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Shaul Olmert. “The company overview deck created using Piggy demonstrated the platform’s capabilities to investors, and convinced them of the product’s potential.”
“Piggy enables the authoring of pure mobile content, harnessing the creativity and engagement of Gen-Z users to express themselves in the most native and natural way,” said Jeff Horing, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Insight Partners. “As mobile devices take over many functions previously enabled by computers, Piggy is reinventing document creation for this era.”
